anonymous- im not sure but i think they have a special forces combat engineering unit called Saayeret Yahalom. I think they are the ones that go deep into enemy territory and plant explosives and car bomb assassinations and stuff. - not the regular special forces.
It would be nice if Danny the blogger could shed some light on this if he knows.

Planting explosives deep within enemy territory would not be the job of combat engineers, if it were to even occur. That is more special forces type activity.

The only action Danny may logically see in a future confrontation with Iran is at best, continuing his deployment in keeping the West Bank from flaring up with terrorism, at worst, be part of an invasion force into Lebanon/Gaza in case Iran's proxies decide to join in on the action. If action is taken against Iran I doubt any infantry will be sent, or anyone will be nuked. It will probably be like Iraq 1981 or Syria more recently: Just planes bombing reactor site(s). Even if Iran's threats of igniting Hizbullah and others like never before following such a strike go through, I don't think it's likely Danny would see much worse than if he had been around during the second intifada.

this word verification thing is soooo annoying. Why must we pay collective punishment for the actions of one person/robot. Israel loves giving collective punishment-(for ex. in gaza war or curfew in the westbank).
